Pagsanjan is noted for the famous Pagsanjan Falls, originally named as Magdapio Falls located in the next town of Cavinti. However, the falls has been known as Pagsanjan Falls because the trip to the falls referred to as the "shooting the rapids" starts from Pagsanjan.

Shooting the rapids is a must for people visiting Pagsanjan. It is an exhilarating three-hour boat ride from the Magdapio River to Magdapio Falls. There are 16 rapids along the watercourse. However, there are less during the rainy season because the water level is high. During this time when the current is very swift and the falls gushes heavily the boat rides are cut short to avoid the danger posed by the high water.
